Life moves pretty fast.If you don`t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Lots of people.Anyone who is a hero of mine--Billy Joel,Paul McCartney, etc. Outside of celebrities--anyone who is interesting or who can bring knowledge or inspiration to my life. It is always refreshing to carry on a conversation with someone who is interesting,or has a certain level of intellect so that the conversation is stimulating.I have learned that I learn a lot more by keeping my mouth shut and listening to what others have to say.

Music:

The whole spectrum from country to alternative to classic rock to Motown to oldies to new wave to punk,etc.etc.Anything you can get lost in depending on the mood you`re in...I love Jonny Lang.I can listen to him over and over again and not get sick of the songs or the passion he sings with. His CD "Long Time Coming" is one of my faves.I love Audioslave especially the song "Like a Stone".Martin Zellar!!!The Beatles.Hip hop and Rap.Guns N Roses.Prince-whether ya like his music or not,ya gotta admit he is a musical genius. The BoDeans(see them in concert if ya ever get the chance-they are awesome live!!)Pussycat Dolls.Crosby,Stills and Nash.Neil Diamond.Alice in Chains.Disturbed.Godsmack.Peter Gabriel--especially his older stuff.Pat Benatar.Collective Soul.Metallica.Better Than Ezra.Creed.XTC.The Divinyls.Buckcherry.Candlebox.Big & Rich.Sugar.Echo and the Bunnymen.Tantric.Eve 6.Lit.Fuel.Hootie and the Blowfish.A lot of the punk/new wave bands from the 80s.Elton John.Billy Joel.Rob Zombie. The Hollies. The Eagles.Fleetwood Mac.Blues Traveler.John Popper is so smokin hot on the harmonica. The blues in general.Kid Rock.Fuel.A lot of the bands from the 70s.Rush.

Movies:

.Mostly ones that make me laugh, although a good cry is ok once in awhile too."The Wizard of Oz"is an all-time favorite-for its time,it was genius.Really liked "Under the Tuscan Sun".I like suspenseful, spooky movies too."Weekend At Bernie`s"."Fear Dot Com"."The Bone Collector"."Dumb and Dumber.""The Serpent and the Rainbow."

Television:

I absolutely adore "Will and Grace".Love "Everybody Loves Raymond".All the true shows about forensics and crime solving. The Food Network shows.Funniest Home Videos.Animal Planet programming. Some history stuff."Unsolved Mysteries"."Dr. Phil".The Learning Channel and Discovery Channel.

Books:

"Marley and Me" is a recent favorite.True crime books-especially those written by Ann Rule.Stephen King books."The Lovely Bones" was an incredible book.Mysteries-lately I have been reading Patricia Cornwell and Greg Iles. The whole James Herriot series.A book called "Stop Being Mean to Yourself"by Melody Beattie.Self-help books. Many of John Irving`s books:"Cider House Rules" and "The World According to Garp" for example.Dictionaries.

Heroes:

Anyone who has worked for peace-people like Martin Luther King Jr.,Princess Diana,John Lennon,Rosa Parks,Mother Teresa. Also many people in the field of music-Billy Joel,Pat Benatar,Jonny Lang(again!!)etc.etc. People who have made a difference in the world to help others.Anyone who makes kindness and courtesy a priority in their life.Anyone who has seen an injustice and done something to right that wrong.People who stand by their convictions no matter what--I applaud them.People who have been kind to me through the years; I never forget them.People who aren`t afraid to voice their opinion, even if it seems they may be going against the majority.People who are not racist and judge people by who they are, not some preconceived notion.People who are "real", honest and down-to-earth regardless of their station in life. Of course, as far as celebrities go, I cannot forget Marilyn Monroe. She was adored by millions and yet was so fragile and vulnerable with her insecurities that she seems to have never found real happiness before fading away at way too young of an age.
