About Me

"This project was spawned by the belief and direction of Joe Mengis (Climber, The Mediam). He was the first friend of mine who seemed to really understand where I was trying to go with the artistic direction of my music and songs. He inspired me to put some pieces together and create an EP. So this collection of songs is dedicated to him.
"Joshua Jonathan David," is a collection of songs written and recorded at Setec Studios. The creative process always begins on a Taylor 420 and makes its way to Robert Lynn (Bob) who helps put the finishing touches on nearly every song I have ever written. Together, Bob and I have created what we call the "fast food" of music, writing/recording a plethora of songs that have ranged from rap/R&B to heavy rock. Personally, I hate sticking to one genre and think it's a small box to be creative in, so I have dabbled in everything. This EP reflects a style of music that I would write in my living room or out on the porch with as few bells and whistles as possible.Unlike most projects I could give a rats ass if I get "signed." Today's music is so influenced by a corperate signing that it seems to interfere with the art. Artists rarely ever get rich and I shall accept that fate and create with no other intention other than to create. This is all about writing from the heart and writing what comes naturally...some people dont like your styles, some people don't like what you have to say, but art is mearly and expression and what ever comes out comes out. (Fuck Genres) "
