About Me
I started drawing at a very young age, but after seeing movies such as Beat Street and Wild Style. I started doing graffiti and break dancing. I was always hanging out in Amsterdam with my graffiti buddies, doing walls 4 shops during day time and trains and walls at night with the spray cans left from the commercial jobs... At the age of 19 I converted to the acid house scene. I bought my first apple Macintosh and started to work with Painter, a program that changed my life. I could do stuff in an hour that would have taken me weeks. When I went to art school and had a day job at an advertising agency. My Philips, Canon and other big companies.
At night I was still doing my paintings and digital artwork while listening to electro music. Music always inspired me to develop my own style. I have been painting for a while now, and it's funny to see how my taste in music is always a straight reflection of the work I make. That's why I love New York City. There is so much to see and hear. It's almost impossible to keep your "style" together with so much fusion around you. My work was exhibited in galleries and museums in the USA and Japan, and I also sell my hand painted bags and shoes in Tokyo. Let's see what the future will bring?
