My name is Lazarus The Makeup Man. Welcome to my ‘My Space’ !!!!The fact that I have been a makeup artist for over 13 years astonishes me. This is the last thing I would have ever thought I would do for a living, but life can be full of beautiful surprises. I have endeavored to let go and let God and consequently I live a very singular, exciting and unpredictable life. The last job I held before getting into the beauty business is as a State certified department store security guard. ‘Top flight security’ [ lol ]. It was then that I was first exposed to the world of beauty and dated the young woman that would change my life. She was a makeup artist, and while we dated I became curious with what she did. With love and patience she nurtured my curiosity into a passion and taught me the fundamentals of makeup. Admittedly I was hesitant to become a Makeup Artist because I did not fit the popular stereotypes, but with the support of my Ex I found the courage to be different. At the end of the day the most important question was 'Can he Paint?' I let my work do the talking and doors started to open. Though we are no longer together, I am eternally grateful to her for her love, her understanding and her mentoring.[ Fast forward to present ]I love what I do !!! ……. I use my artistic skills to enhance the natural beauty of women. Every woman has a trait by which I am inspired - whether she's demure, elegant, stunning, sensual, playful or audacious, it is her uniquely feminine quality that I unveil.
