About Me

Mike Mercatante and Jenna Reed have been Still Running since February 2006. Mike is an award-winning guitarist from Detroit, and Jenna was occasionally trained in classical singing. They perform both covers and original songs which include a little bit of everything from folk, to rock, to country, to blues -- in a desperate attempt to classify themselves, they've settled on calling their style "eclectic acoustic".

bottle tan

Okay -- so I'm wearing a tan out of a bottle. Surprisingly, I am neither orange nor streaky. The $26 tan. It smells a little weird, and still feels vaguely sticky and obscene, but Ye Gods! I'm TAN...

moving the world

I get the feeling that people are supposed to have their crises of faith or their searches for their religious traditions in their late teens and early twenties -- leave home, figure yourself out. I ...

Stupid MySpace

Okay, I just spent the last twenty minutes working on a blog about turning 39. It was great -- take my word for it. It was worth reading -- funny (well, some of it), interesting, universal. Boy, am...

one minute of silence - Jenna

I can't believe it's been two months since I last blogged. (I still haven't gotten used to that term; it sounds like something that happens to you while scuba diving that you have to explain later to...

on borrowing -- Jenna

Had a great night last night at the Quay -- it was quiet when we got there to set up, which usually starts me wondering how the turnout's going to be. I've gotten spoiled, I think, since for the past...

It's hard to be glamorous in the Midwest. - Jenna

Well, it's raining. Almost December, and although we've had the initial greeting from Old Man Winter, he backed away around the corner, and it's been unsettlingly warm the past couple of weeks. I su...
