About Me

I'm just some bloke. I live in Glasgow, I have a boring job. I like doing stuff but usually don't bother. I watch a lot of wrestling, but not enough new stuff. Or maybe exactly enough, if it's all as bad as it sounds when I read about it. I'm just here for shits and giggles. Giggles are generally preferable to shits though.By the way, if you're going to ask me to be your friend, it would make sense to send me a message first, or even at the same time. You wouldn't just walk up to someone in a pub and hand them a card saying "Be My Friend" now, would you? You'd say "hi, how are you?" and take it from there. It would be nice if folks did that here too.

My Interests

Wrestling, mostly. I like lots of films and music and stuff like that, but none have the Anaconda Vice-like grip on me that wrestling has.I'm also a Celtic sympathiser. This is like being a supporter, except that not one penny of my money has ever gone towards the club, so I've never actually supported them at all.

I'd like to meet:

People who aren't arseholes. I know it's a tall order, but there must be a few out there.

Music:

I'm not going to list every artist I own any music by like most people. I just can't be arsed. Some of the stuff I've been enjoying recently is here.

Movies:

Anything by Richard Linklater, especially Dazed and Confused and Waking Life. Lord Of The Rings. Spike Jonze films. Edward Scissorhands. Any Given Sunday. Spinal Tap. And Muppet films, especially The Muppet Movie. It's a post-modern work of comedic genius...

Television:

I hardly watch TV. I LOVE Lost though. And this may be the funniest thing in the world.....Also, Spaced.

Books:

Everything by Douglas Adams. Everyone should read Last Chance To See. Lanark by Alasdair Gray and How Late It Was, How Late by James Kelman. The imaginary Glasgow is so much more entertaining than the real one. Also Slamthology and Turning The Tables by John Lister (my 2nd Best Friend) and Frantic Planet by Stuart Millard. Buy all three or get off my Friends List.

Heroes:

Douglas Adams. Cactus Jack. Aneurin Bevan.

Here's a weird thing.  I posted my last blog entry (the one about all the painful stuff) at about 2 or 3 in the morning.  As most of my friends are British, I assume most of them were probab...

And now the end is near...

So it's nearly the end of the year.  I suppose it's natural for most people to look back and review what they've accomplished over the previous 12 months around now, but it's an even stronger urg...
