About Me

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Reflection of a blue rose

I am what I am... (quote from Popeye the sailman man). I like talking to people and I've done a pretty good job at hiding my shyness. Yup, I was once shy, believe it or not. I'm the mother of 5 kids (3 daughters and 2 step sons). They pretty much keep me busy. I love reading, writing, and drawing. There is so much more to me than just what i know to write here. If I say more, i'll sound like i'm full of myself. If I write less, you'll think i'm hiding something. Best way to find out is to befriend me, get to know me. I dare you.

My Interests

..
http://www.myheritage.com I love painting, drawing, and reading...a true nerd at heart. My 3 daughters are my pride and joy. They are the love of my life and I'd walk thru fire for them. I also have 2 step sons that have become a part of my lil family and are growing closer and closer each day as my own sons.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet Jesus, but NOT yet. I can wait for that. Jajaja. I like meeting people that hold interesting conversations and that like a healthy debate. I like history, government, and current events, so any one that can talk about those things maturely are good to talk to. Mostly, I'd just like to meet people of diversity and make friends.

Music:

All kinds, except Mexican polkas. I like a little bit of everything. From all types of Rock, Hip hop, classic oldies, Motown, Country, Cumbias, International and American Pop. If it's got a good beat and/or great lyrics then I'm game for it.I'm a big fan of Metallica, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Eminem, Shakira, and Mana.

Movies:

Major Drama lover. I especially love romantic comedies, but I am a sucker for cheesey horror films. Some of my favorite classics are Willie Wonka (the original with Gene Wilder), The 1938 Bela Lugosi version of Dracula, Gone withthe Wind, u get my point of faves. Some of the newer classics I like are An officer and a Gentleman, Urban Cowboy, Grease (John Travolta singing to Greased Lighting on the hood of the car....yummy).

Television:

Hmm, I dont currenty have cable but when I did, I was glued to the t.v. for the Sopranos and Six Feet Under. Now that I have to watch local channels (sigh) I like the CSI and Law & Order franchises. I also like watching VH1's era shows, like when they give the specials about the 80's and 90's. Those specials take me back to a better time and place.

Books:

I started to read Little Women about 2 1/2 yrs ago, but I got busy working 2 jobs that I just let it be. I really enjoyed Girl with the Pearl Earring. That book was sultry with out the rated R. It was purely up to your imagination and had me jumping to conclusions as to what the ending would be like, but nah uh...didnt happen like that. I used to be a Mary Kay beauty consultant, so, I am about to read Mary Kay Ash's autobiography. She was a very inspirational person, so I look forward to what she had to say in this book. I'm currently reading (when time permits, which is not much) John Grisham's 1st novel, A Time To Kill. I'm sure I'll finish reading it in 2 years (hahaha).

Heroes:

My momma. She da best. She cooks, cleans, takes care of her babies n' grandchildren, plays nurse to all her relatives, and still has time at the end of the day to read the latest Reader's Digest En Español or English. My dad. He was hard on us, but we were well taken care of. He worked hard for us and taught us a lot. He used to tell all kinds of crazy ass stories and jokes. Always had a joke for everyone ("stop me if you've heard this one....") I miss him greatly. RIP 12/14/45 - 3/4/07.When I grow up (hahaha) I want to be Wonder Woman. As a kid, I thought Linda Carter was the most beautiful Amazonian princess ever. I even had the Wonder Woman tank top/undies set when I was 6. I also think Oprah is amazing. I wouldn't mind having a wallet as packed as hers.
