Brand New Beginning is not a rock band that magically appeared over night. BNB is a result of patience, hard work, and love for music. Brand New Beginning was founded by original members: Barry Gilreath, Tyler Gilreath, Justin Robinson, and Shane Price. Going under the name, Hidden Hollow, the band played shows in the Northwest Georgia areas. The band played cover material, everything from 3 Doors Down, Foo Fighters, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Boston, The Eagles, and even Johnny Cash. As the band grew in talent and experience, the lead guitar player began to show the other Hidden Hollow members original material he had written throughout the years. The band realized that a new course should be set. The only question was what was that course?
As the band decided in what direction to go, they looked no further than their true love as musicians: Rock. The band was at a crossroads, and they decided to name the band, "Brand New Beginning," because of the 'brand new beginning' they were searching for in the music world. With the departure of former bass player, Shane Price, in 2006, the remaining members began rapidly searching for a lead singer and bass player to fill the roster spots. The band quickly found a replacement for the bass guitar spot: Dustin King, a high school friend of the band, joined the band in 2007, and his presence helped solidify an impressive lineup of musicians.
The tedious search for a lead singer did not come so easily as the bass player. The band put out a massive search to find the perfect singer for BNB, but no matter how hard they looked they could not seem to find the right singer. After months and months of looking for the lead singer, Tyler Gilreath remembered someone who he thought could possibly do the job. That someone was Davey Sentell. Davey Sentell was a second cousin of Tyler Gilreath (the BNB drummer) and Barry Gilreath (the BNB lead guitar player). The band auditioned Davey on a Saturday afternoon, and he won the gig.
Currently, Brand New Beginning is recording their debut album. The album is currently expected to drop on 7/13/2007...but that could change, as the band wants to release their best work possible. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
