He grew up in an environment where people like to party, fight, and sell drugs. Fortunately, his positive mentality outweighed his negative surrounding and helped him to become a well-rounded person.During his elementary school years, Robert became interested in music. He began writing lyrics, socializing with musicians, and forming music groups. He began to focus more on music after deciding to pursue a music career. He considers himself as a person who likes to be "real" with others about everything, which reflects his stage name "Axual."Axual traveled around the world because of his stepfather's military career. This did not stop his desire to purse music. He formed a group called "Far East." This increased Axual's confidence in his ability to become a rapper once he returned to the states.Axual has displayed his rapping skills in a variety of clubs around Flint, Mi. including The Beaver's Sports Lounge, Purple Moon Club, JB's Night Club, and Magic City. He also performed in Detroit, Mi at the Rock Cafe on Industry Night, which earned him respect amongst Money Millionaires, Bun-B, Ying Yang Twins, and David Banner.Axual released his first CD titled "The Cook Up" in March 2004, under the independent label Small But Mighty." As a result of his performance in Detroit, his CD (The Cook Up) rose to ..4 in the Mid-West Region's "Promoter" magazine. He also appeared on the front page of "Treal" magazine in his hometown of Flint, Mi. Axual believes that one day he will become the next hip-hop icon and touch millions of fans all over the world. He feels he is destined to shine in 2006.
Billy Smokes
Latyren Henderson B.K.A. Billy Smokes was born on June 30, 1978 in Flint MI. It was in the sixth grade when he first got introduced to the Hip Hop culture, and instantly became addicted to the rush it produced inside of him. By the time B. Smokes graduated from high school he knew, without a doubt that this was the angle his life was about to go in. For him rapping came easier than most, Billy realized at a young age he has special gift. Once his lyrics are put onto paper, he automatically remembers the words in his mind. He put his first album out, Filthy Flint Money, about 2 years ago and sold over 3,000 copies in a city that is populated by only 116,000 people. The album did extremely well in a short period of time and caught the likes of Nichols and Irv Gottie with who have expressed their interest and are currently reviewing his newest album. Soon after that Billy also released a mix tape, which fell into the right hands at Sony Records and caught their attention as well. They recently sent him a few sample tracks that he is in the process of finishing. Billy has been in the local newspaper 3 times concerning his rap career and has also appeared on Fox 66 news with an interview by Kim Russell focused on his newly found relationship with Sony Records. Billy admits that he would not have made it this far without the support of long time friend Matt Hinkle. With their help he has been able to successfully outpour his emotions about his environment and the struggles of young black males trying to make it. B. Smokes have been influenced by Jay-Z, Biggie, Pac, Lil Wayne & Kanye West, feels hes unique because he is one of only a few true artist whose music has no boundaries. He has experience doing live show performances with D-12, Ludacris, DTP, Bun B, Ying Yang Twinz, Shawna, David Banner, Lil Scrappy, Dayton Family & MC Breed. His new album (The Hustlaz Choice) is nearing completion and has already proven to be his best album yet. It contains an explosive single called When She Come, that is getting national attention from many djs across the states.
