Trying to learn how to play the harmonica. Taking pictures of my cats and or other interesting subjects. I like looking for unusual items in second-hand stores including different looking clothes. I wish I could find a really cool "pirate hat" that was authentic with maybe some brass buttons and a colorful plume...yeah that would just make my day!!
Well there are a few people I'd really like to meet, first would be Bob Dylan, Russian author Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Solidarity movement leader Lech Walesa, and if I could bring back to life...General U.S.Grant. But alas these are not possible....so now for the real guys! I like a guy that is cute, funny or at least a sense of humor, easy-going, knows how to treat a woman sweetly, and is kind of romantic. I don't really like nasty guys, or guys who get drunk all the time. Gentleman are preferred. Younger guys are nice, but it depends on the guy...other than that I really admire men....they are fascinating creatures!!!
Southern rock, reggea, cajun, piano boogie, some blues, Ukrainian & Russian music. Some of my favorite people in music would be Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, The Grateful Dead,Los Lonely Boys, Los Lobos, Buckwheat Zydeco, Bob Marley, The Beatles, Dwight Yoakam, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Ry Cooder, Slim Harpo, John Forgerty, Levon Helm. the Blasters, John Mellencamp, Elvis Presley, Alisonkrause, Robbie Robertson, Delbert McClinton, Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Eric Lindell...I think I'm in love...his music does more than "rock"!!
Drama,Suspense,Mystery,My favorite movie is "Don't look back" But I also like "Shakespear in Love", "The Patriot", "Sling Blade","Romeo and Juliet (1969 version)" "Anne of a Thousand Days"(starring Richard Burton), "Sense and Sensibility"
I kind of have a love-hate relationship with the television!! if I'm learning something, like from the history channel or the science channel..i like it, but if it's just a noise and an invader of my peace and quiet...well i hate it!! I think it's the commercials that really are annoying...except for the "aflac duck"...he's adorable!! Dateline and 48 hour mystery are some favorites of mine!!
I like Biographies,History, and some fiction...just depends on my mood...but in all honesty I wish I would read more than I do.
My Dad, General Grant, King David, Simon Wiesenthal... not too many heroes in this world...but God sees the everyday heroes...which I do know "step up" and move quietly without hesitation. The soldiers in Iraq are also real heroes to me....freedom is taken for granted in our country...but little by little it is being taken away....be vigilant.
