The extra day is the zero day, the first day of the year. There are 13 months, numbered 0 - 12. Every month has 4 weeks. Every month starts on a Monday and ends on a Sunday. On Wednesday, April 5th, 2006, at 2 minutes and 3 seconds after 1 am/pm, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06. This will not happen again in your lifetime, probably.

Why is Friday the 13th?

Every year has at least one Friday the 13th. This year has two, January 13th and October 13th. The next year that has 3 Friday the 13th's is 2009. The next 'Friday the 13th Full Moon' falls on June 13...
