About Me

Not sure what to write about myself. But here is what Steve Kalnasy from Hawaiian Chopper Magazine wrote in a past issue:
"When Shannon Aikau moved to Las Vegas in 1999, it was, he said because, "there was so much more opportunity out here, and as long as you have family with you, home is home." Shortly after leaving his native Oahu, Shannon went to work for Counts Kustoms (Evil Twin at the time) with his father Jimmy. After a year of working for The Count, he was asked to help run the business, and has been overseeing the operation at 2714 Highland Drive ever since. As the shops chief builder, Shannon says he's proud of what they've been able to accomplish in five years. "We have a great team that handles everything from frame-up builds, paint and bodywork, stripping and graphics, upholstery, welding and fabrication, service and repair... We can do everything right here," he said. working closely with The Count designing and building some of the most sought after radical customs in the world, Counts Kustoms has created bikes for the likes of, Ozzy Osborne, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee, Ultimate Fighting Champion Matt Hughes, and a host of other celebrities, and just regular guys. The slick designs with their trademark Sugarbear front ends have the motorcycle industry talking about what's coming out of the desert these days. The nephew of surfing legend Eddie Aikau, Shannon says he's, "just a local boy at heart." When asked about his upcoming build-off against Roger Kuwahara of Kustom Fab, Shannon laughs and says, "Rogers does some cool shit, but I've got some surprises for him... May the best bike win! I'm looking forward to this." Joining Shannon when he comes to Hawaii for his build-off will be The Count himself. He's never been to Hawaii so this is a good reason to come out. I want to show him what aloha is really all about," he said."
