GLIDE became interested in music after getting an electric guitar when he was 16 years old. He has played in many kinds of bands, although mainly rock bands which was like mixture rock. He gradually started to explore explosive music energy using punk, noise and spacial sounds. He also began producing his own original mixes with a Roland sequencer MC-50 and S-760 sampler. Ambient, Dub music which has wide range of musical expression, has also had a large influence on his music and he feels it has a lot of potential to play as a base for his own unique style. Around 1995, there were many kinds of dance music trends, and he encountered a huge variety of breakbeat mixes. With rave culture starting to develop in Japan, there were many cutting edge Drum’n’bass releases, especially RhythmFreaks which was originally held in Tokyo as a Jungle/Drum’n’bass party. This exposure inspired his move to Drum’n’Bass music production and his career as Drum’n’bass DJ started. He officially began producing in 2006, and has steadily expanded his range of activities.
