Born and raised in the city of Melbourne
Australia and representing the suburb of Coburg,
born Thomas Tenzythoff, Tan-Z has come a long
way since his days of putting up, running
a muck, and ditching school. Growing up like
many of his generation, Tan-Z found the true
love for Hip-Hop at a very young and tender
age. Drwan in by some of the greatest to ever
bless the mic such as KRS-One, The Wu-Tang
Clan, Tupac, Snoop, Ice Cube, Nas, Biggie
and many others, Tan-Z found himself living and
breathing the culture.From bombing walls all
over his local areas to busting rhymes at school
with his boys, he looked up to his elders for
guidance to lead him in the right direction helping
him find his path. Starting his career back
in 2001 with his boys Seba(oz locos sydney city),
Jimmy and Ang, forming what was to be
known as the ECK ( Ethnic Connection Krew),
Tan-Z got a taste of what the future had
to offer. Hitting various clubs and open mic
nights making a name for them selves the boys
were on their way but shortly after, the group
split due to the boys having different views on
hip-hop and life. For a couple of years life saw
Tan-Z having to work hard to help his family
with his work of trade yet never did he stop
writing and planning for the future with what
was to come. At that same time he started to get
together with Ra-Quest, and old freind. Together
they started planning and organising how they we
re to break into the scene. 2004 saw the birth of
The Militants, the crew which now is held down
by Tan-Z and Ra along with other member
Noel on vocals. Over the past 2 years Tan-Z has
mastered his art and each day takes a step
forward and acheiving his dream and goal of being
recognised as an mc..s mc. Currently working
on his first LP, he has joined forces with another
of Melbournes most under rated yet most
talented producers DJ Fokus, owner of independent
label MAGICIAN RECORDS. To be
due out in the not too distant future, this MC is
very promising and certain to deliver 100%
Hip-Hop for all the heads out there.
