DJ Primer

My birth name is Humberto and I go by DJ Primer. I’ve been a DJ for 10 years and have been producing for 3. I’m a music engineer and work out of several studios in the Los Angeles and Long Beach area. I’ve worked with tons of artist from all genres of music from Hip Hop, Rock, Electronica and Gospel. I’ve worked with The Wu Tang Clan, Onyx, Mac 10, The Luniz, Sonz of Man, MC Eiht, CC Winans, Andre Crouch, Marcus Cole, and a whole bunch more. I’m credited on many albums as an engineer and associate producer. ****I was in a rock band called LEVEL from Los Angeles. We released a self-titled album that was in stores. We were on the Warped tour and played festivals and opened up for bands like Linkin Park, Adema, Papa Roach, Cypress Hill, Kotten Mouth Kings, Suicidal Tendencies, DMX and whole lot more. Throughout the years due to creative differences and label problems the band disbursed. I began on my own solo DJ and producing career and the rest of the band members began new groups. My ex-singer & guitar player joined the new ADEMA. I highly recommend everyone to purchase & support their new album “Killing the Headlights” (Immortal Records). We all still work with each and support each others projects. ****I began producing rock bands and began working on my own music production. I recently launched my own independent record label: THE PRIME MUSIC GROUP. The band that will be our first release is Liquor-n-Poker’s “The After Party” which I produced and mixed. ****I’m a Drum-n-Bass producer/DJ and have incorporated some of the rock influence and ideas from artist I’ve worked with. I’ve scored a few short films and have a network of producers and writers which I work with on various projects. ****Asides from my record label, engineering and producing I began to do some A&R work for First Tribe Media. It’s predominantly a Gospel record label but they work on music placement for Film & Television. I assist on scouting music for film & television. I also help locate new and upcoming acts and help develop them and “produce” their demo and help shop them a record deal. ****My focus right now is the growth of THE PRIME MUSIC GROUP and our artist releases. I will be posting some of my new Drum-n-Bass tracks as soon as soon as I “polish” them up. In the mean time I’ll be in the studio working, haha. Thanx****
