About Me

What you are listening to on this page is the musical intro to my new album. It's in early stages but there will be more to come! Ye ha! About me, well I'm 31. Married to the best lady in the world! Have spent most of my life working in the music business, apart from the last few years where I have worked in the oil industry. As a subversive (disclaimer)!!!! I played in a punk rock band called "Brubeck" for many years in New Zealand. Had some releases, more known is "The Myoclonic Twitch" through Shock/BMG/SONY. We shared the stage with the likes of The Offspring, The Living End, Fugazi, Strung Out, Hot Water Music, Less Than Jake, Sprung Monkey, Ten Foot Pole, Jebediah, The Ataris, Millencolin, No Fun At All, SNFU, Guttermouth, Frenzal Rhomb, Flesh Device, The Vandals, etc, etc. I have also done crew work here in New Zealand for NOFX, Lag Wagon, Sick Of It All & The Wellington Music Awards. I am in the middle of production on my new album. This new project of mine is under the name "The Carbon Chain". Nothing like Brubeck or punk related in any way what so ever. This has piano, cello and still rocks out. I am playing every instrument on the album except for having a few guests on lead and vocals. My megalomania project you could say. I guess it can be described as sounding similar to The Lemonheads dancing with The Kinks, throw in a bit of shoegazing, then some driving lightly gained guitars, but that's only after a dash of influence from kiwi classics The Dudes & brit mods Gerry & The Pacemakers. So it also rocks out! I have just constructed my own little home studio to record the album. I'm calling it Lemon Lime Studio.
The album is being paid for my own new label. Lemon Lime Recordings. Created to give myself freedom to record what ever the hell I like, then to work with other labels as far as representation taking away their financial investment & risk at the recording end of the process.
I will post some songs when completed for your listening pleasure! Take a look at some old photo's below from the Brubeck days. Use the buttons to control speed! One in there of Limo singing Skinny with me! Instead he changed the lyrics to Fatso! .... Enjoy...

I'd like to meet:

Crazy folk. People working in the Music Industry all over the sphere!
Old days nostalgia video footage from my punk rock glory days....
OK thanks to Jay....here's one for any old Brubeck fans out there. This was a video that was made by the band and a few friends. It ended up getting air play on M2 Television. M2 used it in part of one of their ads. The never did pay us for that. Brubeck - Two Bettys....Old shit!
..
Here's some bootleg footage from when I played in Brubeck. It's filmed @ Indigo Bar. This was when we played with Strung Out. This song was never released. So it's rare. The sound ain't too hot as it's a bootleg. It's called "One Thing I Know"
..
Another Brubeck bootleg here...this one is a song we never released called "I Vs I". It's at Indigo. Not sure what show, or when, but near the end of the legacy anyway.
..
Another Brubeck Bootleg of "One Thing I Know". Different show. Still at Indigo though. This was when we played with Hot Water Music. Lovely bunch of fellas they were!
..
Another from the Hot Water Music gig. This one was the title song from our album "The Myoclonic Twitch".
..
Here's Hot Water Music Live. Bootleg. Voice almost cutting out but rocking! Raw bootleg!
..
Brubeck playing "Rob Clark's Fishing Secrets" at James Caberet with Millencolin. Some dangerous stage diving going on here.

This is an interview with Brubeck. Man we looked young then in 2000. I think I was on drugs or something. What happened to me. Why did I let my girlfriend at the time braid my hair in the interview section? The 1st song played on the interview was the joke song of the set "The Mau Mau Chicken".
