About Me

To Cast a Shadow is a norwegian metal band with many unique influences. The band was formed in 1990, but under a different name.. They picked up their instruments only to satisfy a burning passion for true music and to honour the musicians that had influenced them at an early age.The band started in their early days, playing songs by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, but as the years passed, they found other sources of inspiration that were to become very important in the evolution of To Cast a Shadow...Mixing genres and picking up pieces from all sorts of bands, they started to create their very own sound and style. Names like Type O negative, Anathema, Terje Rypdal, My dying bride, Tool, Paradise Lost, and 3rd and the Mortal became important inspiration that helped create the band as we know them today.To Cast a Shadow is today working hard to make music that matters to others and themselves!
