I exist, yet I do not appear.....

About Me

I am easy going, yet extremely hard on myself. I am a perfectionist, yet can be extremely messy and let things get completely out of control at times. I am kind hearted, yet can be quite bitchy when bothered at the wrong time (ie: mornings). I believe I am a very dedicated and giving Mother to my children, yet I do not particularly care for kids. I like to do spontaneous things and not be on a "schedule", yet I am mostly predictable (I always order the same thing at the same restaurants). I am friendly, outgoing and very talkative, but rarely divulge a lot of personal feelings. I hate liars and hypocrites, but I am one of the best liars/actresses I know. I have lofty aspirations and goals for myself, yet I am a huge procrastinator. I am a walking freakin' paradox.

My Interests

Movies, Reading, Music, Animals, Drawing/Painting, Real Estate, home projects, being a Little League Team Mom, being a Cub Scout Den Mom, my Family, wallowing in self pity, being dramatic. Started my own business with The Body Shop at Home and I am really loving that too!

I'd like to meet:

Vincent Gallo - he facinates me. There's just something about him...not great looking, yet I find him incredibly beautiful somehow.

Music:

I don't like a whole lot lately...The Killers, Foo Fighters, Nirvana (Bleach), Fugazi, The Cure, The Smiths, The Donnas, Kristin Hersh, Deathcab, Liz Phair, Peter Gabriel, The Fray, Jeff Buckley, Lemonheads, Dinosaur Jr.,Julianna Hatfield (Hey Babe), Bjork, R.E.M., The Pixies, Radiohead, Live, My Life with the TKK, Nitzer Ebb, Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Beastie Boys, Korn, Black Flag, Rollins Band, Rancid, Dead Kennedys, Vincent Gallo, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Bauhaus, PJ Harvey, The Postal Service, old U2, Johnny Cash, Coldplay, 80s tacky music is always good, I like the older heavier stuff like old Metallica, Rage, Suicidal, jazzy blues, good old swing music. Not a whole lot of new stuff excites me...most of it sucks.

Movies:

Fave Movies, or Movies I enjoyed: Buffalo '66, BigFish, Memento, Amelie, Say Anything, Trainspotting, Pretty in Pink, Moulin Rouge, Edward Sissorhands, Garden State, The Shinning (Kubric is awesome), Breakfast at Tiffanys, Swingers, Brokeback Mountain, Crash........Anything with Ewan McGregor in it...yummilicious.Umm....I'll have to keep thinking about this...I'll add more later.

Television:

Most TV shows suck. I'd rather watch Movies. However, I do enjoy The Office, Scrubs, CSI & CSI Miami & Grey's Anatomy. That's about it. Oh and my HGTV & Discovery Channels! :) LOVE my TIVO!

Books:

Books I find myself reading over and over: WiseBlood, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Complete Works of Edgar Allan Poe, Poetry of Silvia Plath, The Bell Jar, Poetry of Emily Dickinson, Poetry of Langston Hughes, The Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden, One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest, reading Atlas Shrugged. I admit it - I can often be found perusing the self-help section at Barnes & Noble....but hey who doesn't need to do a little "work" on themselves? :) Enjoy reading about animals and love my National Geographics and I'm an Entertainment Weekly junkie too...not ashamed to admit it.

Heroes:

I live by one ideal: No one is perfect...being a good person doesn't make you a hero. The best anyone can do is to try to be the best person they can be each day. We all know when we slack off in life and let our loved ones down. Just don't do it - and you'll sleep much better at night.

My Blog
