If the sets of BLADE RUNNER were a thermal spa, THE FAKES would be the spa orchestra.
Since their start THE FAKES earned reputation in Czech clubs as afterparty DJs, offered by the most influential Czech indie bands such as Moimir Papalescu & The Nihilists, The Prostitutes, Bruno Ferrari, Ecstasy Of St. Theresa, Khoiba or Sunshine to play after their shows. THE FAKES also supported international acts like The Whip, Digitalism, Robots In Disguise, I AM X, Warren Suicide or Mignon.
One of the results of that was when the THE FAKES and DJ GREGORY FINN (Radio 1, Southpaw) were asked by the Prague No. 1 club Roxy to run their own resident club night focused on nu rave, electroclash, indie electro and disco punk. First of those night took a place in Roxy on the November 23rd under the name T.R.A.S.H. with Kay (Sunshine) as the guest DJ and crowd of cca 900 dancing ravers.
At the end of the 2007 Veronique Anghell decided to focus on her other projects and in the future she will play with THE FAKES only ..ed parties as the guest. Simon and Pavel keep on rockin...
