Hey--welcome to my profile. I am the guitarist/vocalist of CASTROFATE. Some of the tracks above are taken from our upcoming 10-song new album 'Cataclysmic Insanity' which is due July 2008. I'm a 26 year old guitarist/vocalist from Long Island, New York. I've been playing guitar for 16 years and have studied with Paul Marino, John Tsantakis, and Alex Skolnick. My style comes mostly from the influence of Metallica, Slayer, Death, Pantera, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden, which are bands I grew up listening to.

Castrofate began in 2004 when “Riffmeister Dan†Castro (vocalist/guitarist) decided to put a band together. The debut album "Awakening of the Beast" was released in April of 2007.
The style of Castrofate is derived from the influence of old school heavy metal like Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Death, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. With the release of their debut album under their belt, some well-received radio play, and some intense live performances, Castrofate are gearing up to open for Testament and Raven, and take part in the TMT Metal Fest, while recording the follow-up to "Awakening of the Beast".
