Rock and or, Roll

About Me

"In the spirit of Chuck, Kieth, Jimmy and Jimi..................Rock." -Ol' fashioned, good time, youth driven 'Rock n Roll' is back!! It's back in the hearts of the Relative Funktion. With a songwriting style reminiscent of early Jagger/Richards, articulate reconstructions of RocknRoll classics and an extremely talented, brother duo on strings...this is one show NOT to be missed!! rotating around the core duo of Johnny Velsor on guitars keyboards and vocals and Tommy Velsor on bass and percussion, the band spent about a year as a three peice with cousin Matty "Noize" Cherowitzo on drums, featuring a short guest addition with singer keyboarder Jeff Jacobs, and a breif run with singer/guitarist Matt Longo. after dozens of jams with many assorted musicians and friends and the departure of all but john and thomas, the band expanded to a six peiced outfit featuring Robby Lettis on vocals, Adam Kastin on guitar and sound effects, Josh Dobbs on keyboards and saxophone and Danny Beats on drums. The band debuted this final lineup at Mulcahy's bar in March 2007. These boys are extremely talented and passionate, with a stage presence worthy of such musicianship.
