Poetry is therapy for my soul
Releases all the tension my shoulders heavily hold
Listen to my deepest thoughts that have never been told
Take a drive down my side of the road
Come along as I stroll down memory lane
See me before the woman that I became
Take a silent journey through my life
And listen to this deep poetry that I recite
Only these thoughts can sooth my appetite
Because poetry is therapy for my soul
