d-ment was born in rotterdam city in december 1980. parents were born in cape verde, after th 2'nd world war europe was interrested in foreign workers and so almost a quarter of the cape verdian population departed for europe for work and a better living. d-ment's soul got sold to hiphop in 1990 as he heard geto boys on a tape that belonged to his brother,but started rappin himself in 1996 he thought why not! his first lyrics were about the lifestyle on the streets but changed his way to concious lyrics and still loving the streets lifestyle. over the years he picked up few things on producing and i got to say it's hot mixing hiphop with cape verdian influences. we hope to here more fom him in the future.keep an eye out for this guy in 2008 when the docks breaks lose.
