About Me

Great Music, The Electric Church is a very good band
Lukas Campbell, The Rock of Ages Show, Chorley FM 102,8 (GB)
Bon Dieu OUI!!!!, ca joue et ca envoie le bois (comme on disait naguère), on leur prédit l'impact tellurique que produira sur l'auditeur moyen l'écoute de cette jubilatoire rondelle
Presto Mensuel Rock (F) – Octobre 2007, p 28

Gelungene, sympathisch-rauhe Gitarrenarbeit ... Eine tolle Band
Gitarre & Bass (D) - October 2007, p24

Uli Heiser, Rocktimes, Oktober 2007

Brut, sans artifice, The Electric Church va droit au but ... des riffs simples mais efficaces, des rythmiques cossues et des solos sur mesure avec beaucoup de personnalité
Guitarist Magazine (F) - Novembre 2006, p129

Babelfish ist eine klasse Platte
Martin Bewernick, Radio Rheinwelle Wiesbaden FM 92,5 (D)

Bernd Schulte, Ems-Vechte Welle, FM 95,6 (D)

The Electric Church a le Rythm' and Blues dans la peau
L'Observateur (F) – no 25 – 2005

"Estacion Heartache" from the 2005 release "Instant Absolution" live in Northeim / Germany. THANKS a lot to the Bluesfreunde Northeim for the invitation and to Michel for recording this with his cell phone!

Influences: Classic Rock artists and bands like Jimi Hendrix, Allman Brothers Band, Popa Chubby, Widespread Panic, Frank Zappa, Government Mule, Rory Gallagher, The Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, Albert Collins, Slash, Buddy Guy, Led Zeppelin, The Who and about every great band we ever heared on the radio while sitting in the kitchen or riding on the bandbus, asking "hey, what's that tune about???"

We don't play for the dancing masses - we play for the small minority that listens!

Sounds Like: It's not all that easy to put the right names here: If we say "we sound like Superstar XYZ" you might measure us against that band or person - and they could in fact mean a completely different thing to you than they do to us

Anyway; if you want to stick some labels to us, know that Katrin & Gab' as the Drum & Bass of The Electric Church wish to sound like

Rory Gallagher 's Gerry Mc Avoy & Rod De Ath
Gov't Mule 's Allen Woody & Matt Abts
Double Trouble 's Tommy Shannon & Chris Layton

Manu & Stefan are the twin guitar tag team of the band and play their interlocking solos and harmonised slide parts in the style of

The Allman Brothers Band 's Warren Haynes & Derek Trucks
Frank Zappa & Steve Vai of Zappa's early 80s live band
and they even let a bit of Thin Lizzy shine through from time to time

We have already been labeled as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Pearl Jam and Allman Brothers Band knockoffs in the local press, so: please try to make something of that by yourself :o)

THE ELECTRIC CHURCH hopefully has a sound of its own

Record Label: Tribal Stomp Records (D) www.shackmedia.de
