Meet the girl behind Greeneyes Designs.
Raised in New Jersey, Brandy McGuire loved art from the age of seven. She applied herself in many art courses throughout her schooling. From AutoCAD to fashion design, she enjoyed being creative in her favorite classes.
Over two years ago, Brandy started working on her goal of becoming a professional jewelry designer. Creating Greeneyes Designs, she gathered inspiration from an old employer she worked with for years. She was influenced with colorful beads, silversmithing, and their studio’s creative soul.
Starting off buying over priced sterling silver beads and semi-precious gemstones, working out of a basket she unleashed her passion. From the beginning, she has enjoyed creating high quality necklaces and working on custom designs. Finding designing therapeutic and the beauty in colorful stones is what has kept her motivated.
Without much effort, Greeneyes Designs has been fairly successful. Preferring to make higher-end pieces, she offers affordable pieces as well. Over a short time, she has made her way into local shops. Focusing on new ideas, she doesn’t plan on stopping there.
Turning her focus onto silversmithing, starting with the design, she has casted sterling silver rings. Currently, she is learning to make semi-precious gemstone and sterling pendants. In her future she plans to learn all the ins and outs of silversmithing by taking classes and through apprenticeship.
