Mojofly celebrates its full fledged return to recording by putting their all-new lineup front and center at their official launch concert Mojofly's Now at the Music Museum in Greenhills for two nights, on September 2 and 3. Supplementing the cast of Lougee (vocals and songwriting), Ricci Gurango (bass), and Ali Alejandro (drums) are guest performers Chito Miranda (of Parokya ni Edgar), Ebe Dancel (of Sugar Free), and Ali's half-sister Rachel Alejandro.
Fans who make it to the gig will be guaranteed not to go home empty-handed-because each ticket comes with a free CD of their new album "Mojofly Now". The new album was independently produced by the band's manager Karin Araneta's indie label luKas Music and is distributed by EMI Philippines. Prior to this, the band floated an indie EP that featured the single "Mata" and a remake of the band's 1999 hit "Minamalas".
The "Now" album is actually the third album in the band's six-year history - the first two were recorded for Sony Music and featured the then unknown Kitchie Nadal (then billed as "Katrina Nadal" in early album credits and press releases) on radio hits like the ballad "Another Day."
Long-time listeners however, will find a dramatic change of direction in the new album thanks to new vocalist Lougee Basabas's smart songwriting (which dominates the album) and more aggressive vocal and stage presence.
luKas Music recently announced prices for the 2-night series at P650 for Orchestra Center, P550 for Orchestra Side, and P 450 for Balcony seats. But people who actually bought the album at stores will get a P250 discount on tickets if they show the discount coupon that comes with the store-bought version.
