Torey

My name is Torey. After college I moved back to the Syracuse area and unfortunately many of my friends have moved away so I started with mysapce in order to stay in touch with them and other people I have recently met in person. On the upside I have made new friends recently! I work at a not for profit as a Respite Coordinator for individuals with developmental disabilities. I volunteer at my church's youth center and am in charge of the worship for the youth group and lead worship for the third churchwide service on Sundays. I strive to be like Christ because hes the only one worth it but I constantly fall short and do not profess to be perfect but also do not believe that falling short is an excuse to sin. So I try to serve Christ because of my love for him, not out of legalism or obligation. And I believe thats what the bible calls us to. In the Fall I plan to get my masters degree in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy in California. I will be moving to Cali in June. I feel like relationships are the basis of everything and contribute to the major dysfunctions of society (whether it be marital, parent/child, business, friendships, etc...). Think about it, God used a relationship as our means of salvation. So I think its definately worth studying and trying to figure out how we can improve and enhance existing relationships and prepare ourselves for future relationships.
