I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a Pentecostal pastor of the St. Paul Temple Church of God in Christ in Washington, D. C. I am a very laid back but serious minded gentleman with a heart full of unconditional love to give away. I am very open and honest about myself, both my strengths and weaknesses, my struggles and my triumphs. I expect the same from those with whom I communicate. My passion is Jesus! I love Him with every fiber of my being. I want to help others to love him as much as I do. As a result I seek to understand and communicate the relevance of relationship with Him in every facet of life. I especially want to reach those whose personal internal struggles make them feel isolated from the mainstream and whose sense of aloneness makes them feel that life has seemingly dealt them a bad hand. I've struggled too and perhaps I can bring some light and hope into your life.As an older man I bring a wealth of institutional knowledge about "church", its values and its traditions. I believe that you really can't appreciate where you are until you understand what happened before you got here. I want to pass on the best of those values and traditions so that they can be carefully integrated into current faith and practice. I therefore reach out especially to young adults who want to effect positive and progressive change in the "contemporary church."

My Interests

My interests are photography, model railroading, swimming, biking, tennis.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people who are serious about their relationship with Jesus and want especially to discuss and find honest answers to those issues that have for so long been taboo in traditional churches. I am solution oriented and believe that through our dialogue we might able to help you find contentment in Christ no matter where or who you are.I would like to meet other clergy professionals to exchange ideas for relevant contemporary ministry.

Music:

Classical, smooth jazz and traditional gospel are my preferences (in reverse order). I'm really trying hard to like contemporary gospel.

Movies:

My taste is eclectic. It depends on what's playing.

Television:

Who has time to watch television?

Books:

The Bible, Christian fiction, spiritual formation books, mystery and suspense are my favorite types of reading.

Heroes:

Jesus, of course!
