I am the coolest person I know!

About Me

Wow, tough question, where do I begin? Well, I am originally from the Chicago suburbs and am living it up out here in California. I grew up in a town named Streamwood about thirty miles directly west of Chicago. After that, I moved out to DeKalb, IL to attend college at Northern Illinois University. During those crazy years, I moved around a little bit and lived in Addison, Sycamore, and Maple Park (all in Illinois). If you have never heard of these places, don't feel bad, not too many people have. Dekalb was a fantastic place. I met a ton of good friends and a lot of interesting people. I drank a lot and did some pretty crazy things, good times!During my undergrad and graduate programs I interned at a few companies and finally received an offer from the company with which I am currently employed. I graduated with my undergrad in 2004 and went straight into graduate school and received my Masters in Accountancy Science in May 2006. Shortly thereafter, I moved out to Santa Clara, CA, which is seriously one block from the San Jose border. I have been all over the US and decided that Cali was the place for me. The weather, the topography, it really is awesome. I love it here.I am currently pursuing my CPA license and hope to be licensed within the next year. That of course, is the extremely condensed and abridged version of "About Me."....

My Interests

I love music and movies, as you will see below. I enjoy traveling and spending time with good friends. Driving the coast and going to the beach are almost a weekly occurance. I try to see as many concerts as I can. I love telling and listening to stories, be them good or bad. I also enjoy working out, riding bikes, and meeting new people.

I'd like to meet:

Geddy Lee of course. He is a stud! I would have really liked to meet my great grandparents and my great great grandparents who migrated here from various European countries. I love listening to my grandparents tell stories about what it was like when they were growing up during the depression and what it was like to serve in WWII. I would have loved to hear the stories about WWI. I don't know, I really don't want to meet anybody in particular. I like meeting new people and making new friends, but as far as a particular famous or historical figures, I never really thought about that.

Music:

I am pretty open to new music, and enjoy a wide variety, but my major tastes lie in the realm of rock. In no particular order, here are some of my favorites: Rush, Yes, The Postal Service ("Give Up" is one of the most amazing albums I have ever heard, hands down), Underoath, Alexisonfire, Biohazard, Slayer, Moneen, He Is Legend, Exodus, Thursday, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Brazil, Anthrax, Primus, Coldplay, PSAPP, Tool, Flee The Seen, Circle Takes The Square, Sleep Station, Coheed and Cambria, Bruce Dickinson, Styx, AC/DC, System of a Down, Queen, Poison The Well, Iron Maiden, Peter Gabriel, Murder By Death, Innerot, the list goes on, and on, and on... The only music I cannot get into is country, I am sorry.

Movies:

I love all types, but of course, my favorite are horror movies. So, my favorite movie of all time has to go to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it. Never saw anything so raw and disturbing. So, in no particular order: Dumb and Dumber, Suspiria (great movie) Boogie Nights, Terror Firmer, Spider-Man, Napoleon Dynamite, Donnie Darko (fantastic), Street Trash, Evil Dead (the first one), Star Wars (the original trilogy), Nightmare Before Christmas, Heavy Metal (I love this movie), Scary Movie, Devil's Rejects, Clerks, Edward Scissorhands, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, The Green Mile, Spinal Tap, Starship Troopers, Dellamorte Dellamore (a.k.a. Cemetary Man), Magnolia, Goodfellas, The Hills Have Eyes (the original), Mad Max Trilogy, Leon: The Professional, Dead Alive (gore galore!), The Fifth Element, Phantasm, Dawn of the Dead (both versions), Pulp Fiction, Hellraiser, Dogma, Friday the 13th (1 & 2), Kingpin, Inferno, Conan, Kill Bill, Wayne's World, Batman Begins, The Thing, Toxic Avenger, Re-Animator, Anchorman, Reservior Dogs, National Lampoons Vacation, Return of The Living Dead (Send more brains!), Private Parts, American History X, Glory, 12 Monkeys, Boondock Saints, The Dead Next Door, American Pie (the first one), Better Off Dead, Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Caddyshack, Bubba Ho-Tep, Poltergeist, Fright Night, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure...

Television:

I don't watch too much television, but when I do, I get sucked in. In no particular order: The Sopranos(won't miss), Grey's Anatomy (Fantastic! This season was better than The Sopranos, I don't care what you say), Big Love, Wheel of Fortune, Who Want's to be a Millionare, CSI, and Sex and the City (True story, I like this show). That's really about it. Does the news count?

Books:

Don't read books. No time.

Heroes:

My grandparents. Police officers, firefighters, and of course all those service men and women. Anyone who is extremely good at playing any sort of music or creating excellent pieces of art. I really admire those who can paint or draw extremely well, because I draw like a six year old. My cat Caesar.

My Blog

Ichi The Killer

I will begin by saying I really have no idea to review this movie, as I have never seen anything like it. It has blood, guts, sex, drugs, Yakuza, sadism, masochism, rape, hypnosis, torture; pretty muc...

A Dirty Shame

Prior to watching A Dirty Shame (2004), I have only seen two other John Waters films, Serial Mom (which I absolutely love) and Desperate Living (which was not so good). My expectations of this film we...

Desperate Living

Once again, I have gone through the torture and pain of viewing a completely despicable movie so you won't have to. The movie of the week is the 1977 John Waters directed "Desperate Living." I am not ...
