you
Punk, rock, pop, 50's-present, country is cool but I prefer the older stuff like Hank Williams (who is a god) but some new stuff is cool like Dwight Yoakam (he's great), some rap, classical, opera, etc...I'm pretty open-minded musically unless it's just so dreadful that it's painful to listen to. Beck is really cool. I'm also into Elton John and I'm not ashamed to say it. And also, Elvis is King and always shall be. Belle and Sebastian are great as well. My top favorites in no particular order: 1. Elvis Presley 2. Elton John 3. Hank Williams Sr. 4. Otis Redding 5. Sam Cooke 6. The Ramones 7. Mario Lanza 8. Morrissey/The Smiths 9. Bob Dylan 10. Belle & Sebastian 11. Dean Martin 12. Ben Gibbard (DCFC, Postal Service, etc..)These are just a few heavy hitters that I really dig. If I listed all of my favorites, there would be no hard drive big enough to store them. Peace out.
Wes Anderson flicks are cool. Bill Murray rocks. Comedy is great but I dig drama the best. Tim Burton is good except for his crappy remakes. Scary flicks are kind of cool, Evil Dead is good, Old fart movies kind of rock and TCM is cool, Sci-fi is cool, and I love Star Trek, the original Planet of the Apes line-up is really good. I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to movies unless they're so bad that they make my flesh crawl.
Kids in The Hall, Newsradio, and pretty much everything old that is long gone. Law and Order was cool for awhile. TV Land kind of rocks and cartoons are cool, but mostly old ones, even though Samurai Jack really rocks. Boomerang is a cool channel as well. Star Trek (original and Next Generation) rocks my world.
mostly classic literature, anything Arthurian is cool, Big Fish was a cool book, the Tao of Pooh was interesting, but I don't read too much modern stuff. Sometimes I tackle the heavy stuff like St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, and other religious material. St. Paul's letters are always a great, inspirational read. Lately, it's been King Arthur at the helm.
Jesus, the Holy Mother, the Saints, Joseph Carey Merrick, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Bob Dylan, The Ramones, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, Buddy Holly, and a bunch of other dead singers, Dan Marino and also the Dolphins lineup of 72 and 73, Joe DiMaggio (the Yanks and American League rock!) Mother Teresa and anyone like her that can show unconditional love in such a sinful world. Other than that, I would say that there's too many to name!
