About Me

I have been painting nearly all my life, my main source of inspiration has been my mother she is a great artist who has challenged me every step of the way.I love painting mystical redwood forests to visionary scenery but enjoy abstract art and surrealism, I also have a passion for assemblage and altered art. Some have called my work Metaphysical Surrealism, many of those images can be found in the cover of books, art magazines or enhancing the web pages of writers and poets at present time I am offering my Spirit art dolls and small paintings in eBay.I am also a Reiki practitioner and devoted student of mystical traditions, sacred art and shamanism, from those themes I have found inspiration for my Spirit Dolls, I love the process of sculpting with polymer clay and working with textiles, yarn, fibers and beading creating a context where magic begins. I've been inspired by many cultures where dolls were made symbolic of the sacred...full of meaning and creativity...here, there is an element of reverence and solitude that guides me gently into that type of art. It is a form of meditation...a beautiful Spirit dance.

    Music:

    I adore music...any kind of music but for painting I rather listen to opera or light classics

    Movies:

    When it comes to movies, I enjoy old classics and anything that makes me feel deeply and think beyond the every day rutine... I like soulful movies with a message and magical themes with a happy endings, of course there are some I still like even tho I know they will end in tragedy. I love the language of the supernatural and mystery (adore the suspense Alfred Hitchcock)...ghost stories, gothic/vampire themes. Tim Burton is the best, I have seen all the Star Wars movies, BatMan series, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter...I love romance...Fry Green Tomatoes kind of movies.

    Books:

    Too many to mention...I need a month to list those!

    Heroes:

    Frida Kahlo, Mahatma Gandhi, Monet...there are so many... Mainly my heroes are my family and friends.
