Project Pyramid

Project Pyramid started in the winter of 1999, with 4 original members. The band started taking the music seriously (maybe a little too serious).There was complications with a couple of the members on the direction and sound of the band. Two of the members, the bass and guitar player, left to start a new project, while the vocalist and drummer forged on with new band mates. For about a year there were new guitarist and bassist trying out for Project Pyramid, the band couldn't find the right chemistry that they had in the beginning. So the band didn't exist for about two years, until the original bassist and vocalist got back together to breathe new life into the "Tomb" of the band. In the beginning while trying to find new a new guitarist the vocalist picked up the guitar, having played since he was nine, he knew the guitar parts well enough to fill for awhile( so he thought). Having interviewed many guitarists, some with EGOS, some who could play rhythm or lead only, and one who thought he was the MAN himself. He came in with gear and guitars that would make Eddie Van Halen cry, when it came time to tune our instruments, we ask him to give us an "A" note, he said "I don't know how to do that". Needless to say we knew where we stood the vocalist was then the full time guitarist. In our trials and tribulations of finding a new drummer, we had one that played barefoot, another that drank to much, one that play too basic (he was good) and the last one stunk to high heaven that you could smell him the next day or two in the studio. Finally finding "THE" drummer that mixed with our chemistry, Project Pyramid was back. Project Pyramid started playing shows in the summer of 2002, with a demo and enthusiasm, we didn't care if we got paid or not, we just love to play. Meanwhile more songs poured out, making our repertoire expansive to the level to were we could record an album or two. With that in mind we felt it was time to do a professional recording. We had everything to go, including the sound engineer, thats when we found out that our drummer had a drug problem. TIME OUT!!!! The band patiently waits for the return of the drummer; they have been staying in shape by rehearsing to recorded demo drum tracks. The drummer is returning to the band with much excitement and a clear head. Stay tuned for the next chapter........ To be continued....................... His name is Dan Rock and he is fitting in just fine.
