The zombies are coming...and if their votes count on Election Day, we might just get Abe Lincoln bac

About Me

I'm just your typical, run-of-the-mill, cynical, semi-reclusive, neurotic writer. Official website is www.angieross.com, in case you're curious. I'm working on my third novel and playing around with other types of writing. I also want to grow up to be a full-time photographer some day - and those websites are www.annarosephotography.com and www.kceventphotos.com. I am also a full time criminal justice student and a proud member of the Zeta Rho Omega chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association LAE.

My Interests

Writing, photography, and fencing (that's fencing as in the sport, not playing with nails and 2x4's). Studying the socio-economic issues of zombies. Consulting my Magic 8 Ball about all major (and minor) life decisions. Secretly plotting to take over the world...oh damn it! Now you know about that!

I'd like to meet:

Nobody and everybody. Depends on what day it is.

"Nothing seems to help
Nothing seems to work
Nothing is as beautiful
I'm old enough to take all the blame
For all the mistakes
All the games and all the faces
I'm bleeding by myself
But I'm okay"
--The geniuses known as Our Lady Peace, Sell My Soul

"Are you waking up slowly
You're nothing but lonely
Are you waking up holding
Holding your breath"
--Our Lady Peace, Story About a Girl

Angie-isms
"Passion isn't something you experience every now and again. It's a lifestyle all on its own."

"Sometimes a heart must break before it has anything important to say."

"Life is like an extensively tattooed arm. Sometimes it's hard to find the uniqueness in the crowd of pictures."

"Great writing comes from either great anger or great pain." (paraphrased from its original sentence spoken by the great Steve)

"Prince Charming does exist. He just fell off his white horse and broke his neck years ago."

..

Music:

Our Lady Peace, Remy Zero, Wilco, Ryan Adams, Eels, 30 Seconds to Mars, Matchbox 20, Shaking Tree, Godsmack, Disturbed, Daughtry, Shinedown, Seether, Buckcherry, Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, anything live, etc, etc, etc. Oh, and Air Supply. Can't forget them.

Movies:

Zombies galore! Also love sci-fi, horror (especially Japanese horror/Asian thriller), comedy, and James Bond. I even like cheesy sci-fi - Frankenfish is classic! In fact, I like pretty much anything but chick flick.

Television:

Dexter, Criminal Minds, Dresden Files (damn those idiots for canceling it), Psych, The Soup, The Office. Just the right combination of off-color humor and edge-of-the-seat action. Of course you've got James Roday in that mix...yeah...uh, yeah.

Books:

Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Patricia Cornwell, George R.R. Martin, Neil Gaiman...you know, the usual :)

Kitten Cannon

Heroes:

Jeff Dunham - Achmed the Dead Terrorist

This is mine and Ali's favorite dramatic chipmunk!!
