About Me

Like the calm before the storm, the three individuals who comprise the band Supercell are easy-going and down-to-earth. But when they pick up their instruments, gather themselves and get ready to unleash their fury, you’d better hold on to something or you might get blown away!
Matt Concienne, on drums and vocals, is a multi-talented musician who toured the country with several bands before settling down in Kansas City. Equally at home belting out a swaggering AC/DC or Jackyl lyric or crooning a ballad by Poison or Hinder, you’d swear that there were 2 or 3 guys hiding behind that drum kit sending shivers up your spine with spot-on vocals and plastering a perma-grin on your sweaty face with the thundering backbeat he’s laying down as if his life depended on it.
Bart Ward, on guitar and vocals, prides himself on delivering the goods by remaining as faithful to the arrangement of the song as possible in a one-guitar band. Providing the perfect counterpoint to Matt’s vocals, Bart has been know to turn a few heads himself when exhorting the crowd to cry “more, more, more” with a "Rebel Yell" or testifying to the strains of “Fire Woman” by The Cult.
Last, but certainly not least is the newest member of the band Ben Ward, son of Bart. A rising young star on the Kansas City music scene, Ben is a singer, songwriter and multi- instrumentalist who plays guitar and sings with local favorites Restraint as well as with his own band Fracture. Ben anchors the rhythm section on bass and brings an energy and stage presence to the band that can best be described as inspired.
Like the storm it was named after, Supercell strikes suddenly and violently with an unrelenting force that will leave you dazed, exhausted and physically drained. Be forewarned... Supercell is coming your way!
