Well, here's a list: questioning everything, music, meditation, vegetarianism, deutsch sprechen, peace, cooking really bad, the female gender, thrashing, philosiphising, discussing the imminent end of the world, making fun of the crazies who talk about the world ending, hiking, people watching, writing, composing (when I can), playing shows, teaching guitar...
People who are genuine.
In no real order: James Kline, Nigel North, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Shakti, Smashing Pumpkins, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Ozzy/Sabbath, Municipal Waste, Dimmu Borgir, Immortal, Emporer, Oregon, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dusan Bogdanovic, Dave Brubeck, Cradle Of Filth, Ali Akbar Khan, Nikhil Banerjee, Ravi Shankar, Debashish Bhattacharya, Paul Galbraith, Paul O’Dette, The Cure, Megadeth, Keith Jarrett, Descendents, Bad Religion, AFI, Minor Threat, Slayer, Misfits, Black Flag, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ronn McFarlane, John Dowland, Bach, Sylvius Leopold Weiss, Kapsberger, Giovanni Zamboni, Steve Reich, Ravel, Debussy, Liquid Tension Experiment, Sultan Khan, NOFX, Goran Sollscher, Peter Blanchette, Alex Skolnick, Testament, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Johnny Cash, Adam Falckenhagen...the list goes on...
Horror movies pretty much kick ass, as do movies that are actually funny. To name a few: The Shining, Silence Of The Lambs, The Excorcist, The Omen (old, though new is also good), Borat, Groundhog Day, Stranger Than Fiction, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Excorcism of Emily Rose, 300, Lola Rennt, American Beauty, Private Parts, American Pie (the 1st one), Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Lost In Translation, Elephant. Can I also say that I like the old Star Wars trilogy without sounding like a dork? No? Ok then.
When I have the luxury of television, I watch CSI, Frasier, Seinfeld, The Man Show, Mythbusters, I Love The 90's (ahh nostalgia), Spongebob, and probably a lot of other shit I can't really think of right now.
As long as it isn't fanaticism
James Kline, who introduced me to the Archguitar, and whose guitar playing I have been influenced and inspired by more than just about any other musician.
Nigel North, who is an unbelievably good lutenist...you just have to hear his playing.
