I end up looking for a God who will provide protection—and miss out on the God who offers support.

About Me

..
As volunteer firemen, we were happy to pass Engine 31 on I-80 in southwest Iowa yesterday, February 23. We knew that it was on it's way to a very appreciative new home! Saw your website on the truck and had to check it out.As volunteer firemen from a small rural community of 300, we know how much work is still left in an engine like #31!Our department is very much in need of a pumper as our newest pumper is a 1964. If anyone knows of a used pumper, e-mail us @ [email protected]
Your page just blew me away!! I cried too...I'm a mother,a navy brat, and a person that loves people and feels compelled to try and save the world, even as I drown myself.I wish I knew how to send everyone your message! God bless you!! Jen
I wanted to Add this on my site for everyone to read.Someone very special sent this to me and it truly touched my heart. I am far from being a cry baby. But..When I read things like this or listen to the song that is on myspace. It brings tears to my eye's. I will never truly understand why we have lost so many. Thank You Owl. My Heart is with you. I will never go there for the scream are more than I can bareI am a Viet Nam Vet , just so you know what I have seen in a part of my life. And that was far more then I ever wanted to see and feel. The sounds are less ,the feelings not as sadddening. But I WILL never forget. And never will anyone that has a Soul ever forget that morning.I wish you well, and a Life that is still full of wonderment and joy.Cry when you feel ,shout with glee often ,for today is now and all we have.Blessed Be you & yours all the days of your Life,OWL,May you have a joyus NEW YEAR.Behind Enemy Lines II

Add to My Profile | More VideosLOCAL FIREFIGHTER........JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS My brother was a fireman, he drove a big red truck, And when he'd go to work each night, he'd say, "Mother wish me luck". Then he would not come home again, 'til sometime the next day, But the thing that bothered me most, was the things some folks would say. A fireman's life is easy, he eats and sleeps and plays, And sometimes he don't fight a fire for days and days and days. When I first heard these comments, I was too young to understand Cause I knew, when people had trouble my brother was there to lend a hand. Then my brother went to work one day and kissed us all good-bye, But little did we realize, that night, we all would cry. My brother gave his life that night, when the floor gave way below, And I wondered why he'd risk his life, for someone he didn't know. But now I realize, the greatest gift a man could give, Is to lay his life upon the line, so that someone else may live. So as we go from day to day, and we pray to God above, Say a prayer for your local fireman, he may save the one you love. If u know a firefighter, or are a firefighter yourself, repost this with the title "Local Firefighter". Author Unknown. Fire Fighting

To Those who have forgotton,And Those who haven't!! My Heart is with each and everyone of you. Thank You! My anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain!… My heart is beating wildly; I cannot keep silent; For I hear the sound of the trumpet, The alarm of war. Disaster overtakes disaster, The whole land is laid waste. Suddenly my tents are destroyed, My curtains in a moment…. I looked on the earth and it was waste and void;… I looked, and lo, there was no one at all, All the birds of the air had fled.

The comments were included in a 26-page transcript released by the Pentagon, which also blacked out some of his remarksRadio transmissions between United 93 and an air traffic controller in Ohio include sounds of blood-curdling screams. The hijackers themselves take the microphone, speaking over the open airwaves, as they pilot the plane toward what would be its final destination, the Pennsylvania earth. For veteran air traffic controller John Werth, the morning started like any other: he reported for work at the Cleveland Air Route Traffic Control Center in Oberlin Ohio, which handles high-altitude planes as they pass over the country.Amid a flurry of rapid transmissions from other pilots in his crowded airspace, Werth desperately tried to figure out what was happening.
At 9:32 a.m., the answer became clear. The hijackers now had control of the cockpit and made an out-of-breath announcement, likely intended for passengers, that was instead transmitted on the Federal Aviation Administration frequency."Ladies and Gentlemen here. It's the captain, please sit down. Keep remaining sitting. We have a bomb aboard."Minutes later, another ominous transmission, likely hijacker Ziad Jarrah: "Hi, this is the captain. We'd like you all to remain seated. There is a bomb aboard. And we are going to turn back to the airport. And they have our demands so please remain quiet."Over the next half hour, Werth calmly and repeatedly tried to contact United 93, some 20 times, in vain. All the while he rerouted other planes flying nearby, even asking nearby pilots for their help as "eyes in the sky," to spot the hijacked plane once it disappeared from his radar scope.

Books:

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
New Yourk(oct23)-Counstruction At The World Trade Center Site won't stop, despite the recent discovery of more than 100 pieces of bone and human remaines believed to belong to vicims of Sep.11,2001,terrorist attack, the mayor saidMonday. But in the end, all he could do — all any air traffic controller could do — was watch.Werth, along with other controllers in Cleveland, Boston, New York and Washington, was later honored for his work as a first responders on Sept. 11.But Werth does not want to be called a hero. He was not at the movie's premiere in New York this week. He did not walk the red carpet, or attend the fancy party after the movie was shown.Retired and living in Ohio, he prefers to stoically maintain that all he did on Sept. 11 was his job.
