Can't imagine that I won't have one of these,soon...
Miracles DO come in cardboard packages!!!
Japanese video games!
What exactly are they teaching their children over there?
I think the title of this game translates to:"Family Beat-Down".Hmmmm.....
Addicted to that stuff up there, right now.I keep up with a lot of racing. From F-1 Sunday morning(at 5:00!!!),to Late Models on dirt(my favorite, actually).I grew up around dirt track racing. My Poppa owned and sponsored a pretty high-end operation as I was growing up,and I went home with dirt on my face every Saturday night, for years. My Son,Austin,is on the golf team @ JCHS(!).Yay.Free golf for Daddy.Might actualy start playing again. He also(still)trains in Mixed Martial Arts with Casey Oxendine, and I'm being led to believe that he has a lot of potential.I'm a little jealous,I guess, but it's kind-of freaky that people in Johnson City and Boone know who my kid is,because of his training.Very cool.I play my DS too much,anymore..A little embarassing in my thirties, but I think it's a different thing, now.People our age at least had Pong and stuff,at an early age,so we grew up with it.Anybody have a Grandparent that couldn't possibly have imagined owning a T.V.?They weren't born with them,y'see. My girls play a lot,but mostly the girly,pet-sim games.Don't really want them shooting at stuff.
Please don't laugh....I'm laughing as I'm writing this,so I guess it's O.K. to laugh.I play"Pirates"with my kids, and my friend,Billy.See,it's this little game that comes in packs, like baseball cards, and you punch-out these little ships, and follow a set of rules to get gold and stuff.Like pirates.Don't play it unless you want to get hooked. It's fun.
The Cursed Blade
Schooner. Once per turn, this ship may randomly take one treasure from any ship she touches.
Greed motivates El Gato, captain of the Cursed Blade. His crew have mastered many inventive tactics in order to steal an opponent’s treasure, rather than fight.
I'd like to meet:
1.ROB THOMAS-Great singer.Good band situation.Probably the best songwriter of all time.My,ummmm.."Friend",as well.Cool. 2.JIMMIE JOHNSON-He IS the Cup champTwo times in a row.Watch out,Cale! He's gonna get three in a row, mark my word!My wall in the den is covered in 48's.I just wish he'd get the hang of Bristol a bit better.Hey Jimmie-I've kinda got this"Mojo"thing going lately.Give me one of them "JJ48"Monte-Carlos,and I'll bet you win.I'll be in the Allison section,G or H,'bout halfway up,you can bring it up there.During a pit stop.
3.GENE SIMMONS-Not really sure why.Hardcore Straight Edge does not appeal to me at all,in the same way that living in the gutter drunk is unnacceptable. So we couldn't,like, party or anything, and I don't really have a head for business.
BUT-He is the DEMON,after all.Maybe I'd try to get him to breathe fire or something.KISS were the shits to me when I was younger. 4.ELTON JOHN-LOOK!!!!LOOK!!!!I have three kids(ABC),a great wife, and a stack of Playboy three feet high(that last one is not true, but it sounds good, hehe). Each to their own,I guess. But what I like can't be measured in inches.
Again,it's the songwriting. And the piano.Elton has magic fingers.
5.SHIGERU MIYAMOTO-Only created Zelda,Mario Bros.,Donkey Kong,and The Block Kuzushi(!).Sure hope he speaks English
6.RAMPAGE JACKSON-Who's gonna get his belt?Nobody.
Music:
I play the keyboards as much as anything, right now.Mostly so I can sing(can try to sing?)to it.I'm actually kinda working on sight-reading.My Brother-in law,Josh,is pretty proficient, and he's helping me.We mostly work on stuff by Vince Guaraldi-the guy that did all the Charlie Brown stuff.Jazz, believe it or not.Pretty crazy stuff, really.I like to make things more difficult than they need to be(but freaky to watch),just to give Josh a hard time.It hurts his trained hands to watch,I think...There's also this other guy,George Winston, who does interpretatins of Guaraldi's stuff, and he's freaky good.
I still play a lot of(most of?)Matchbox Twenty's tunes, usually on the Keys.Kinda sad, really, but everybody's gotta like somebody,I guess. My buddy Ragan Garland is an extremely talented songwriter.Dude just picks up the guitar and starts writing songs, something I've tried to do for twenty years, mostly unsuccesfully.
Movies:
I honestly believe that I watch as few movies as is possible, considering how much I attempt to stay current with the world on most issues.Liked "Star Wars",didn't love it,and didn't even see the new ones.Tried "Lord of the Rings",but had read the books ten times,so it just didn't take well."The Hitchhikers Guide"turned out O.K.though,and if you've ever read that, you know how specific those"mental pictures"are.
Television:
Chef Ramsay kicks ass.I like Hell's Kitchen, but Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is better, especially the BBC ones.
I REALLY like That 70's Show, which is kind of strange, being as it's about a time period that I absolutely do not relate to at all('cept for KISS,I guess...).Funny,though.Bob is my favorite. Not so much anymore, but I like King of the Hill pretty good.UFC,Racing,Lazytown.Rachel Ray is great, too, but I think I could watch her with the sound off and enjoy it equally well.Hmmmm...Perv...I don't "try" to watch them, but when I turn to one of those I Love the Eighties shows on VH1,I can't turn it.I guess...I Love the Eighties.
Books:
Not so much, anymore. My attention span doesn't really even exist...I used to read a lot, though.Haven't been over my"magazine phase"(Guitar,Maxim,Golf)long, but I read so fast that it became an expensive hobby.I don't miss them,at all.
Heroes:
That Commercial song they play during he race(we can be he--roes,for just one day...or everyday...or some crap)is the only thing coming to mind.
