The career path of the Teknicians so far reads pretty much like a "how to do it" checklist for aspiring DJs. Play and Devon, along with MC Kenrick "Infiniti Stylz" and video DJ VJR, have covered pretty much all bases through a combination of vision, talent and sheer hard work.
These DJs are key players in two of the most important street teams -
Play for Sony/BMG and Devon for DefJam UK. Together, these have led to them hosting release parties for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Pharrell Williams, Fat Joe, Destiny's Child, Kanye West and 50 Cent to name a few.
They currently hold the coveted residency spot at top North East urban night LoveDough, which came about as a result of them winning the brand's BattleJam DJ competition. They've started playing overseas, too. In addition to their residencies in Spain, Greece, Belfast, Edinburgh & London they recently tore up a club spot in Russia!
Radio-wise, the Teknicians are on air every saturday night between 7 - 9pm on 102.5FM with their show "The Takeover" broadcasting across the north of England
2007 seen the Teknicians DJ at exclusive London P.A events for the likes of Amerie, JLo, Wyclef Jean & Will.I.Am.. 2008 promises to be bigger and better.
