Singer, pianist, song-writer Natasha Tarásova was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and grown up in Ukraine. She received her Piano-Solo Master Degree from the Odessa State Conservatory,Ukraine. Prior to her arrival to Mexico, Ms. Tarásova participated as both singer and composer in several music festivals in Odessa.
Ms. Tarásova relocated to Mexico where she began her vocal studies and continued her music career as a pianist. In 1999 she debuted as alt-soloist in a performance of Mozart's Requiem at the Cathedral of Cuernavaca (Mexico). Meanwhile, her solo career as a Contralto has led her to perform at several most important concert halls and music festivals. She has given acclaimed solo recitals at such concert halls as the Bellas Artes Palace in Mexico and Carnegie Hall-Weill Hall in New York. Also,she performed oratorio music as a alto-soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at Medomack,Maine,
Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Vermont, Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Handel’s Messiah at Bellas Artes Palace in Mexico City.
One of her classical recordings are “Musica Latinaâ€and “Nietzsche, His Music†produced by The National University of Mexico in 2002.
She also loves singing and playing Jazz and Pop-music and has composed more than 50 songs in English, Spanish and Russian. Since 2002 she works with Argentinean bassist and producer Freddy Valeriani. The result of this collaboration is the CD “My Name is No-One†(February 2007),the combination of Natasha’s knowledge of classical music and her love for Jazz-Pop and Valeriani’s experience as a Funk-Rock musician.
