Dracmas is a Progressive Metal band from Puerto Rico formed in 2001. They have a commitment with metal heads and prog fans of doing good prog/power metal. Dracmas has created a style in the vein of Symphony X, Dream Thater, Adagio and Evergrey, just to name a few influences, but without losing their identity. Using epic stories, Dracmas proclaims Jesus' teachings always respecting everyones belief. Dracmas is constanly playing at all kinds of venues (christian or not) in Puerto Rico and has played in Bellas Artes Centre in Guaynabo Puerto Rico, Braulio Castillo Theater, Hard Rock Cafe and many local Metal Fests, clubs and cafes. In the other hand, Dracmas have a Demo CD with 3 songs out there that have sold around 400 copies in a non-metal island. Recently, on May 27th Dracmas was one of the opening acts for Symphony X. Now, after a huge show with SX Dracmas is ready to reach new horizons. Currently the recording session for their debut album are beign scheduled hoping to complete it before 2008. Their debut album will have 10 songs full of technichal yet medolic music loaded with heaviness and beautiful vocal works done in their native language (spanish) for being a really exquisite languaje to describe and tell stories with.Stay tuned to this Space and to www.dracmas.net for more information about the recording process.
