I am here for Friends

About Me

There's not much to tell! I originally joined MySpace in order to keep up with my younger sisters. Along the way I've been able to reconnect with some old friends that I hadn't talked to in a long time. It's nice to be able to get in touch with people that you grew up with or became friends with as you got older. I'm not married but I'm happy with my life the way that it is. I still want to get married and have kids some day, but right now I'm trying to enjoy things the way that they are! My "livin it up days" are over now! My guy has three kids of is own and aside from not bearing them I feel like a mom! I tend to spend nights at home with Keith and the kids and if I do venture out into the world I'm usually hanging out with my family playing cards or something fun like that! This is what happens after you turn 30 everyone! Beware!

My Interests

Softball, Bowling, Reading...I know that it sounds kind of boring! I enjoy spending time with my 3 "step-daughters" doing crafty and artsy kinds of things. They all love to color and draw. You'd think that they were really mine since those were my interests when I was a kid!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Oprah or Ellen. I'd like to see if they are really as nice as they appear to be in TV. Plus they're always giving away cool stuff maybe I'd get something!

Music:

Rock (like Korn, Disturbed etc.) I still listen to the dance music stations every now and again but my default music is always going to be good old fashioned rock and roll! (Yes...even the hair bands!)

Movies:

I like comedies and horror movies mostly. My favorite movie right now is "Talledaga Nights." I could sit and watch that movie over and over. That Will Farrell is hilarious!

Television:

I'm still a sucker for reruns of Friends. I believe that was my all time favorite show. I also like the CSI's, Law and Orders, and 30 Minute Meals on the Food Network. Criminal Minds is becoming a favorite. I was trying to stay up and watch Dirt on FX (which the few times I've watched it has been a very good show) but I just can't stay up that late! When I have to get up at 5:00am that's just too late!

Books:

Nora Roberts, Stephen King, John Saul, Patricia Cornwell. I like the romance of Nora Roberts because "they always end up together with the secret twist in the end." I will always be a fan of the "whodunit" books. I like reading for a purpose...not just that they'll end up together in the end but I like knowing the who's, what's if's etc. of the plot line. The suspense books are good for that.

Heroes:

I don't know...I guess my mom. She's struggled a lot in her life and it just never seems to end with her. I admire her ablitity to pull through with a somewhat open mind and good natured spirit about things. She always provided what we needed when we were kids and tried to give us the stuff that we wanted too. I hope that I can be as good a mom as she is.
