Have one but don't watch anything but movies. I have watched and worshipped the dvds for Arrested Development and The Chappelle Show though if that counts.
JD Salinger. Catcher In The Rye made me give up my desire to be a novelist in my youth. After I read it my initial thought was "Well I can't beat that, might as well do something else." In retrospect perhaps not the best idea ever but, as I indicated, I was young and foolish. I read very quickly so this list would rival the movie list that doesn't exist. Some highlights of more or less modern fiction: Wicked, Perfume, Less Than Zero, Cryptonomicon, Weaveworld, The Stand, The Invisibles, Norstrilia, Steel Beach, Trainspotting. I could go on... maybe later I will.
Most of my heroes don't appear on no stamps.
