Perth was born in 1998, with one man - Fred, a few guitars, and one artistic direction followed by the others members of the band. Quickly joined by Jeff, the savage drummer, the band found its rocknroll way and the place to grow: Chambéry in France. Here The Dude came with his crazy riffs and brought a more rocknroll touch into the music. In 2001 the band met Claire, a natural born classical pianist. She adapted her methods to rocknroll with a cheap keyboard and accompanied Fred on the vocals. Last but not least, Jerome, an old school rocknroll bassist, joined the band in 2003. For 8 years, the alpine quintet has taken aim at creating a spontaneous music that grows with each members influences such as My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Sigur Ros, etc. After 3 auto-produced albums, the band decided to record a new one in a music-studio in 2006.
