About Me

My name is Aisha Jelan Omar, born in Kenya and I have been writing poetry since I could remember. I write about what I have experienced, what I have seen and how I feel, basically about anything and everything. My first ever poem, I could remember, entering in the school competition was called 'Just like a rose'. I remember I was the only person from my year to enter, I did not win but I came fourth. Some of my earlier work are on poetry.com. I started sending my poems to poetry.com at the age of 15, and won once with the poem called 'thinking of you'. Am currently studying law in London metropolitan university, I also like reading, sport, writing (shot stories, poetry and also perform them live), music and going out with my friend.
