I have numerous interests. Food is a fasination to me, because I love to eat, and experiment when it comes to cooking. I am a sports fan. Having played numerous sports growing up, however now, I still am involved in sports as a way to relax and as a stress reliever. Right now, my biggest interest is writing. I have always wrote from poetry, to short stories, and in some situations articles. However as it pretains to writing, i am always looking for ideas and stuff to write about.
Depends on what is asked by people I would like to meet. In in perfect world I would like to meet and be around good people. However, since this world is not perfect. i like to meet people who are driven and determined to be the best people they can be. Naturally, for any person who studies and goes on a Christian journey, my ultimate goal just like everyone on this journey is for that day that i meet Jesus. I am not perfect, and I have my faults, but i am working towards that goal.
I was, am, and forever will be a fan of hip-hop music. Before I go any further, let me clear this up right now. There is a difference between hip-hop music and rap music. However hip hop music gets thrown into that association with rap music and thus i find myself in a constant struggle to try to defend it. I am also a fan of Neo-Soul, R&B, Jazz, Gospel, and the music genre known as Prince.
I like mostly action movies, comedies from time to time, and any movie that has a good storyline, and can keep my attention. However my 10 favorite movies of all time are: (from 10 to 1) 10. Rocky (everybody's favorite underdog story) 9. School Daze (if you went to an HBCU, you could identify with that happened in that movie) 8. Cidade de Deus "City of God" (forget the fact that it is Portugese, the cinematography is amazing) 7. Braveheart (the fight scenes are stuff of legend) 6. The Killer (John Woo's best film ever features no English speaking, but 110 minutes of all action) 5. Coming to America(Eddie Murphy's crowning achievement) 4. HavPlenty(proof that it does not take a 100 million dollar budget to make a good movie 3. Do the Right Thing (To me, still Spike Lee's best film) 2. A Christmas Story (The Official movie of Christmas) 1. Raging Bull(greatest boxing movie ever).I know that one particular movie is exempted off of this list. I am one of those people who thinks of the movie "love jones" as more than a movie, but an experience.
What has now become a morning ritual, Mike and Mike in the Morning. After that, pretty much anything that comes on a sports network. Boxing and Ultimate Fighting Championship whenever possible. Outside of that, I watch reruns of New York Undercover, Animal Planet, and Food Network. If I am at work, then it is Mike and Mike in the Morning, then the Max Kellermam Show, and then the Stephen A. Smith Show. The advantages of streaming online radio at work.
Right now my BIBLE, and I have been reading other stuff that makes me think and strive to be a better person as well. Other than that, my favorite book right now is the book that I am writing.
Of course my mother. Anyone who could put up with 6 boys, then teach for almost 30 years, see 3 of us graduate college, especially me when I had my doubts on why i was there in the first place, and has allowed me and my brothers to become our own persons regardless of what my hometown and people that know us think we should be.
