St. Francis & The Holy Crabs

About Me

The Holy Crabs started originally in 2006 with former members of the Fullerton based band POUNDING SAND, Israel Maldonado and Graham Green (R.I.P). Daniel Peralta, long time Israel's friend, came from Miami to play the guitar. They recorded a cover of Shannon Hoon's "Letters form a porcupine" to submit it for the BLIND MELON TRIBUTE'S ALBUM only to break up even before they knew they actually made it to the final tracklist. It seemed that The Crabs were dead and that the recording was the only souvenir of a short existence. But the response from the Melonheads was overwhelming after the release of the BMTA and Israel decided to give it another shot fueled by the amazing input of the fans. Now The Crabs are back with a whole new line-up and ready to rock again. The new members, Joaquin, Sunny and Xavier, all come from very different places, both geographically and musically speaking, but they've found a common ground: Rock N' Roll. The result is a very groovy blend, both funk and bluesy; both classic and modern. It's a refreshing time capsule full of sounds collected from the Summer of Love to the Summer of Sam...with balls.
