"La Vand offers progressive style for the fashion forward customer.
Sisters Tabby and Pari Zamani, have opened us all up to their own personal style with the new boutique, La Vand. Located in Pentagon City, La Vand boasts an eclectic collection picked out by the sisters themselves. “Our premise was to buy six of each piece so as to limit the availability and create truly unique looks.â€
This concept was extremely well received at the opening, on Saturday September 23, 2006. Many of the invite only were snatching up the trendy designs, as music and video of recent New York Fashion Week played on large screen TVs. Tabby Zamani, director of purchasing while watching the video said, “You see, how each look is individually created and with a distinct statement? That’s what we want when people purchase with us, your look will say something wonderful about just you.â€
The women’s section is sexy, flirty; soft silks and chiffon, delicate dresses, and a great selection of accessories and shoulder bags. One customer I spoke with who was on a shopping spree said she loved the personal attention that the boutique offered. Making several purchases, she citied how much she loves the style and the philosophy of La Vand, when I ran into her at 1223 later that night she in fact was wearing a dress she had purchased the night of the opening.
We were particularly impressed with the choices in menswear. Clearly, a lot of thought and study was put into the latest styles from LA to Milan, and what men seem to be wearing out to the clubs. There were beautifully tailored and stylish jackets with the flare of individuality that La Vand will soon be known.
The designs for all are versatile enough for a night that starts with café society dining and ends with a late night after party. If you do run the Washington Party Circuit, as we do, it will be nice to know that you’ll be the only one in what you are wearing."
