About Me

I want to be a singer. I want to croon like Frank Sinatra, warble like Pavarotti, get down like Ricky Martin. And I would if people would just stop laughing every time I launch into song. Maybe I should stick to my day job... I work as a network engineer. It doesn’t give me groupies but it’s challenging and interesting, and I enjoy it. I did volunteer once to teach English to low-income adults and I found that very rewarding too. If I could find a way to sing English lessons to immigrants while fixing up computers and without emptying the classroom, life would be just perfect!I grew up in Dallas, lived in Denver for a while but came back to Texas to be close to my family. They’re important to me and we get on very well. I’ve traveled a little for business and I’d like to do a lot more of it -- but not alone. Exploring is the sort of pleasure that’s best shared. One thing I have learned though is that I’m a real city boy. I’m sure farms are fun and beach life has its moments but when it comes to settling down I don’t want be too far from a Best Buy, and if I’m close to a CompUSA too so much the better! When I’m not souping up a computer, I’m often in the health club, reading self-help and professional books or watching movies (The Sixth Sense is my current fave, but Aliens and Lord Of The Rings are up there too). I’m confident, a good communicator and always upbeat. I’ve got this little inner happiness thing going that always keeps me sunny.

My Interests

Hanging out with friends, working out, movies, sports, trying new and different things

I'd like to meet:

So who would I like to help me shine on? Well, I’m the curious type and there’s nothing more attractive to me than someone who wants to constantly learn and grow and try new things. Tempers are a real turn-off, but if you’re optimistic, witty and a bit on the caring side, I want to hear from you. (And if you’re a bit tone-deaf, that would be just great...)

Music:

Anything I can sing along with.

Movies:

Lord of the Rings, Something About Mary, Shallow Hal, Love Actually, The Sixth Sense, and so much more.

Television:

I don't watch television very much. When I do, it's usually sports, "The Practice", "CSI", Seinfield re-runs, or one of those Discovery channels.

Books:

Books that make me grow intellectually and help me work toward my goals.

Heroes:

Tim Duncan, Batman, Derrick Zoolander, and anyone who can always see that cheesy silver lining.
