The Boy with the Thorn in His Side

The pulse of sexuality... the rage for liberation... the lure of death...

About Me

I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening...

I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning.

I'm really into the blues as well. Some of my favorite blues artists include B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, and Lightning Hopkins. I can also listen to some rap/hip-hop/R&B every once in a while. My favorite rap group is Outkast, without a doubt. They're actually an intelligent and talented group that, in my opinion, totally surpasses any of that "gangsta" crap that seems to be dominating the industry lately. I love classical and some opera, too. Beethoven is my absolute favorite classical composer (sorry to be unoriginal, I can't help it), and then the Three Tenors and Maria Callas are always nice to listen to when it comes to opera. And then of course there's always room for the electronic/techno / house/dance stuff: Moby, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Dirty Vegas, The Prodigy, Darude, Paul Oakenfold, etc. Jazz appeals to me a lot, stuff like Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis. Hell, I even dig on some traditional pop, the likes of the Rat Pack (That's Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop... for all you kidd-os out there). Music is a very important part of my life.

Bands/artists I DON'T like: Korn, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Disturbed, Godsmack, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Drowning Pool, Three Days Grace, Trapt, Simple Plan, All-American Rejects, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Bowling for Soup, Avril Lavigne, Dashboard Confessional, Hawthorne Heights... of course there are more bands I don't like, but these are the ones I just can't stand.

Movies:

Along with drama, film is the art form most important to me. Favorites: the original Star Wars trilogy, The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Memento, American History X, A Clockwork Orange, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, American Beauty, Pulp Fiction...

Television:

South Park, The Colbert Report, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jeopardy, MadTV, almost anything on Food Network.

Books:

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Night by Elie Weisel. Anything by Edgar Allan Poe, especially "The Cask of Amontillado" and "The Fall of the House of Usher."

Heroes:

God and Jesus Christ
