I don't pretend to know what you want, but I offer love.

About Me

MYSPACE HAS BECOME USELESS TO ME. PLEASE JOIN ME ON FACEBOOK .Hi, I'm Jeremy and I'm a media junkie (music, movies, art, technology). I've worked in the music industry for going on seven years now. I've also been a DJ off and on for eight years. I like pretty much anything and everything when it comes to music, as you can pretty much see from the list below and to the left. No, your other left. I am not a culture snob, except about things that suck and think they don't. Now that we've gotten that out of the way...
I believe that you get out of life pretty much what you put into it. I moved to Astoria NY a bit ago and would love some new friends in the area. I think people should be better to each other, in general. I like to pretend that post-modern irony doesn't exist (since it is really neither post-modern nor ironic). I like disco.
I collect quotes (if you go on my website you'll see a random one from my collection), because there are few things better than a clever turn-of-phrase. The things that are better, however....
Also... ..
I: am too clever by just about half, don't sleep enough, am a font of useless information, am cluttered but I know where everything is, am anti-fabulous, am an insufferable flirt, am an excellent dancer, have an awesome apartment with a big-ass DVD collection , love to feel the rain in the summertime, make lists that go on too long, and like everyone else I blog . I like orange juice with pulp, creamy peanut butter, granny smith apples, chewy chocolate chip cookies, cheddar cheese, the beatles, the muppets, and my powerbook. Oh and you, probably.
...and always remember: when in doubt, throw penguins.

My Interests

Flannel sheets, pocky, fresh iced tea, snuggles, eye contact, knowing glances, being silly to cheesy happy music, pleasant surprises, when the orchestra swells, overstuffed chairs, slow and passionate, kissing in a downpour, all the beauty in the world, girl-watching with girls, free music, a clever turn-of-phrase, finding the perfect song to embody the moment, taking it to the next level, hearing from old friends who knew you "before", hazelnut anything, testing out recipies, pad se ew, half-asian people, those who ask for what they want, movies about New York, spring nights, fall mornings, Haagen Dazs Coffee Ice Cream, cool showers in the summer, quiet moments, a girl in one of my shirts and nothing else, naps, bad-breath wake-up kisses, comfortable silences, eyecandy, walking home after a date with that silly grin on your face, air drumming to that one part in "In The Air Tonight", getting people hooked on new music, still finding things to put on this list.

Here's what I'm talking about on my blog:

I'd like to meet:

In anyone: I'm looking to fill my life with warm, open, kind and curious folk with an interest in rapid-fire dialogue filled with references from across the cultural spectrum. You know, like Sorkin when he's not so self-aggrandizing.

In a "let's be friends and maybe more" kind of way: Someone who feels like Empire Records, smiles like a girl in a Cameron Crowe movie and kisses like Sigur Rós. Or at least someone who knows what that means. Someone who gets that sometimes one needs to be superfluously sesquipedalian. Someone who is complex but not complicated. Someone who got my headline quote without having to look it up. Someone who I can tell where I hid the bodies.

I'm powerless over girls in black tanktops and Lisa Loeb glasses. Seriously, it is my Kryptonite.

ANY BANDS CONTACTING ME FOR ANY REASON THAT AREN'T ALREADY ON MY LIST WILL BE FLAGGED AS SPAM.

Thank you. :)

I'm on all the regular chat clients as SoftLord, so feel free to drop me a line and interrupt my work day...no, really!

Fake is stupid. Honest, flawed and real is infinitely more interesting.

Oh also, any of the gorgeous women who ride the N/W train into the city in the morning should send me a note right now so I can express my gratitude for making the commute infinitely more bearable.
